I attended an appointment at the Coleman street surgery for a emergency as I’ve been in a lot of pain. I attended around 7pm and was asked to fill in my medical details. Upon handing my form in the receptionist was very rude and asked if I could read because she was on the phone. As much as I understand patient confidentiality I did not appreciate the rudeness in front of other patients as well as telling whoever was on the phone that she had been rudely interrupted. I was anxious enough without having such a rude receptionist speaking to me in such a way.
I would have realised she was on the phone before she had to lash out like she did. Her excuse would be the sign that says to stand back till called, regardless she should show some more respect and appreciate that people come to the practice for help when in pain, not to get spoken down too.
The dental staff where very helpful and a lot more respectful.
