"A shining light"

About: Churchill Hospital / Dermatology

As a widower of 66 years who loves the sun I am no stranger th skin lesions.

I surmised this is what i had managed to get again and visited my GP. My GP referred me to the dermatology unit of the Churchill. I had to wait a good while for my appointment but knowing the pressures the NHS is under this didnt bother me unduly.

Arrived at the unit receptionist very pleasant and told to report to waiting room 2. AS i was a little early expected the not so uncommon long wait. Because the unit is so well organised was called 5 minutes early. The young lady i saw was extremeley pleasant and listened attentively to the reason for my visit.. As there was no obvious problems i was asked if i would like a full body screening (its free and can never be to careful). I was given a thorough examination with only one area they werent happy with, doctor summoned and examined the problem area and told it was nothing, visit over.

From start to finish a truly exceptional and professional visit. We all know the NHS is under extreme pressure but with healthcare professionals like these we are definitely still in safe hands.
