What could be improved

My wife and i visited our grandson on 14 06 2011 (Tuesday) on childrens ward.

After using the hand cleaner before entering the ward,

We cannot understand why the cleaning staff are issued with feather dusters? to clean the ward. The cleaner had no other equipment with her and just used this duster by flicking it around unenthusiasticly which only moved the dust around. Why are they not supplied with wet wipes which then should be thrown away after cleaning down each bed area and table.

The dust was very noticeable on the furniture ,especially under the television on the table.

We have both been in the cleaning business for 15 years and would not stand for this standard of cleaning.

This is not meant as critisism but am hoping that it is a positive observation.

We would like to apologise that the level of cleanliness you experienced during your visit was not up to our usual standard.

Our domestic staff are issued with static mops which are laundered and thermally disinfected every day. Disposable wipes are also available and we will be investigating why these were not being used when you visited.

We are now looking at upgrading to ultra-microfiber mops which will also be laundered daily.
