My Grandma recently attended this hospital but sadly passed away. The family, however, could not fault the care she received or the support offered to the family. In the Emergency Department she was given a very thorough examination and was then admitted to Ward 4. After having a scan it was revealed that my Grandma was terminally ill and had just a couple of days left. The end of life care given by all the staff on ward 4 was first class. Her dignity was maintained at all times and family were allowed to remain with her, even through the night. Her hygiene was maintained all times, her pain was regularly assessed and she was given drugs for her sickness (the thing she was most bothered by). The staff always attended to her in a respectable manner and they also offered support to the family. We couldnt have asked for more. This includes medical staff, nursing staff, Marie Curie, the Chaplain and even the domestic staff, who kept the ward clean.
