"Worse experience ever"

About: Whiston Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

I'm absolutely unhappy with hospital treatment. I went for one day surgery on Ward 3. Despite being the first on the day of surgery and general anaesthetic, which needs longer recovery, I was the last taken into theatre.

After surgery, on the Ward 3 Alpha I faced very unrespectful, stressful and rude treatment especially from night team side. Doctor, which came to see me 3 hours after surgery because of unexpected bleeding, didn't even look under plaster. Second doctor, which came after few hours waiting and asking for visit, to get Ward discharge, was very rude and suggested me going to my local GP for sick note " because has more important things to do then writing sick notes". Didn't check the wound as well.

Despite being assessed prior to surgery about home transport provided by hospital,I was refused from ambulance after because 'I don't meet criteria". Finally hospital provided taxi for me.

I was discharged without dressing change after bleeding and without any information about aftercare. The ward team kicked me out the ward door with information my taxi is outside. Didn't even help me to get car park ( I was alone). I was looking by myself for taxi on the hospital car park as reception staff wasn't interested with any help.

I didn't get any support like crutches with walking as I was assesed as "fully mobile" after ankle surgery. I'm not mobile at all and can't manage longer walk then to toilet and back.

Hospital didn't send as well any referral to district nurse for change dirty dressing, despite their promise over phone and me chasing them over phone from home. Finally I had to manage it by myself through 111

I'm disgusted with service which I was provided, never faced before that kind of treating.
