My first visit to Bournemouth Hospital, Endoscopy Dept. Had Colonoscopy&Gastroscopy

on 5th March, was so anxious about procedure, but all the staff were so very re-assuring, kind and helpful. Chose sedation & became relaxed whilst having investigations.

I cannot recommend more highly how wonderful Nurses, assistants and Doctors were to me, most patient & understanding! When I return for 2nd Gastroscopy, wont be so anxious next time.

Feel more assured by staff and will be able to deal with above again!

Several large polyps were found & removed, & other problems re investigation have

probably confirmed why I've had very low Iron levels.

Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience in our Endoscopy Unit and highlighting how kind and re-assuring the staff are.

It is always uplifting for staff to hear when the care they provide is so well received and they go to great lengths to comfort and calm anxious patients. Many patients write in to say how worked up they were prior to having the procedure and then wonder why afterwards as they barely remember anything beyond the sedative.

We are pleased that the procedure was able to answer some of your questions and treat others and hope these too can soon be fully addressed.
