"My experience of Stafford General Hospital."

About: South Staffordshire PCT / Community physiotherapy Stafford Hospital / General surgery Stafford Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics West Midlands Ambulance Service University NHS Foundation Trust

(as the patient),

I broke my tib/fib on 2nd of April this year. From the moment the 1st Responders turned out until the ambulance team took me to S.G.H. I could not have wished for better treatment.

Once at the hospital everything that could have been done (assessment,x-ray,back -slab) was done before finding me a temporary bed on ward 6.

Moved from 6 to Trauma & Orthopaedic I then went for my operation under the auspices of Mr. Andrew Raines.

Thereafter my stay at Stafford Hospital was a dream marred only by poor food.

My treatment from start to physio (where I am currently suffering - for my own good !!!) has been superb and I would recommend this hospital to anyone, despite recent media coverage.

I am so pleased to hear that you have had a positive experience at our Trust. We appreciate it when people take the time to let us know they have had good treatment with us and I will ensure that Mr Raines and his team see your comments.

We use Patient Opinion as a way of gathering feedback so we can improve our services so I do apologise if the food was not up to standard and will ensure that the catering Team are made aware of your concerns.

Thank you once again for letting us know about your experience.
