"Prescriptions"

About: King Cross Practice

Despite several communications with both the Pharmacy and the GP surgery it seems impossible to get all your prescriptions on repeat dispensing and seems ridiculous that only half a prescription is allowed to go on repeat dispensing, plus an elderly disabled person recently discharged from hospital is not allowed to telephone for a prescription and has been advised it has to be done online or collected in person/family member.

The drug in question has been advised by the surgery that as it can fluctuate is not allowed on repeat dispensing (Warfarin), however as the condition does not fluctuate only the INR levels and dose of the medication this is again ridiculous that so much effort to get a simple life long prescription seems ;not our fault; it is the changes made by the CCG.

The CCG state that any vulnerable person can have their repeats still collected by the pharmacy but apparently not a priority for King Cross Surgery.

So despite their 'Bronze Status' recently given to them, maybe they should look at the prescribing problems for vulnerable, elderly and disabled patients.
