"Failed to recognise Jaundice"

About: Lanarkshire Community Services / Community Maternity Care

(as a service user),

Baby jaundice up to five weeks of age, no denying otherwise well. One community Midwife excellent the other midwife then health visitor failed to recognise this was present never mind prolonged, hence recommendation for blood check up was missed. I arranged GP review myself. Disappointing for anyone less motivated.

Hi 09876,

I'm so glad your baby is well. However, I'm really disappointed to hear about your experience. I would like the opportunity to speak to you about this to see if there is anything we can do to ensure this doesn't happen again.

I can be contacted on 01698 366301

Take care,

Liz
