"my dads care"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Stroke Care

(as a relative),

Recently my dad was admitted to ward 3E with having a suspected stroke. However ct scan showed that my dad had a massive inoperable tumour. As you can imagine this has been devastating news for my dad and all of his family. My dad was unfortunately boarded out for 3E last night as he is non stroke.  My Dad and all his family would like to thank all of  ward 3E for their compassion and care they showed to my dad especially to Symone Rebecca, Andrea, Leona, Chanley, Shirley, Lianna, Anne, Brian, Kirsty Sister Somerville and Dr Ravi for the care they provided helping my dad feel safe as for keeping his spirits up at such a sad time. You guys are excellent thank you

Being admitted to hospital with symptoms of a stroke is a frightening and worrying time for both the patient and their family. The shock to then receive the news that your dad has a brain tumour and not a stroke is unimaginable. This must be such a difficult time for your all.

As a team we strive to deliver the best possible care to both patients and their families. I am glad that your dad felt safe and cared for. This is so important especially at a time where faced with fear and uncertainty.

The human aspects of care are as important if not more so than the technical aspects. I am delighted that staff were able to keep your dads spirits up, although I think this is credit to the man your dad is.

Thanks very much for taking the time to post your comments especially at such a difficult time for you and your family. The team will be delighted to read your feedback and in particular the staff mentioned.

Best wishes to you and your family,

Christine
