Anything else?
All my previous interactions with the NHS have been excellent bar none but I'm sorry to say all that good feeling has been shattered since I was referred for treatment at this hospital. I was kept in the dark about my treatment and it seemed the staff just assumed I already knew all about my injury and it's seriousness ( or lack of ) Two of the senior staff who examined me actually sniggered at me when I asked their further advice. I've never been made to feel more stupid.
When I attended a follow up appointment I was casually inquired of whether I was here about the fracture to my face which, directly contradicted the information I had received previously. When I explained this, I witnessed the most spectacular display of back peddling I have ever seen. Suddenly there was no fracture again! Truly a scientific marvel! The person I saw could heal with the power of thought alone, really you should give them a pay rise and promotion.
Yet six months later I am still in the dark about whether I broke my face or not, the ophthalmic appointment I was assured I would receive at the second appointment never arrived and I would dearly love to know why that is. Alas it seems impossible to contact anyone at the hospital in the relevant dept that has access to any real information and promised call backs never materialise so I guess that is just tough.
A total shambles, all the previous good work done by their varying colleagues undone in a matter of minutes.
"Shockingly bad"
