"Disappointed in service"

About: Andover War Memorial Hospital

(as the patient),

I went into minor injuries today, im not an impatient person and I understand you are not seen necessarily in order of arrival but I was livid after waiting 3 hours and having to leave unseen because I had to pick my child up from nursery.

I wasnt told there was a long wait, there were only 3 other people waiting when I arrived and I happily waited... until I was moved from one waiting room to another because they needed to shut up due to lack of staff - although plenty were wandering about and even making cups of tea which at this point id been waiting 2 and a half hours, the previous patients had left and I was sat waiting still (baring in mind id already kindly asked a nurse how much longer it would be as I had to pick my son up in an hr, to which she replied your next)

I then proceeded to wait another half hr listening to these nurses chinwagging with there cuppas about first dates, kisses and dogs. Im all for being social and happy in the workplace but I dont expect to wait nearly 3 hrs and listen to that when they have 2 patients left to see and no one is seeing to us!

I had to leave - angry, disapointed and with the problem still unseen. 3 hours of my day I could of been at work. This department arent exactly a+e. No ones rushing around so im very dissapointed in the service I recieved today and will avoid going back.
