"An angel in disguise"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Maternity Care (Wards 21-24)

(as a parent/guardian),

Absolutely brilliant Maternity Ward with amazing Midwifes! Overwhelmed and impressed of the professionalism of every members of staff. We were made to feel comfortable and fully informed of every process & procedure from start to finish! The support my wife was given during, before and after the birth of our miracle daughter was 2nd to none!

My wife's designated Midwife was Superstar Lauren. Lauren was highly professional throughout, friendly, informative and an all round lovely person who made us both feel at home & welcome during the 9 hour labour πŸ‘©πŸ»πŸŒŸπŸ˜‡

Anne was great settling my nervous wife in when she first arrived at the maternity unit, making her feel comfortable and relaxed. 🌟

Fiona overseen the labour and made regular hourly checks to check and double check all was well with my wife and baby. Highly professional throughout and again made us feel comfortable and fully informed. 🌟

Veronica dealt with my wife and baby post birth, Veronica was very patient and offered priceless advice on every question first time parents like us had. 🌟

Angela (Community Midwife) has been looking after my wife right from the beginning of her pregnancy and is now doing house visits to check on Mum and baby, Angela is caring, understanding, knowledgeable and literally goes above and beyond her duty of care. Our house is on a very steep hill, with the recent snow & bad weather our street was cut off from all roads unless you had a 4x4, Angela parked her car at the bottom of the hill and walked to our house carrying all her medical equipment including very large and heavy baby scales to make sure she gave my wife and daughter the after care they required. Upon arriving Angela said β€˜I didn’t want to let you guys down’! Angela is an angel in disguise! πŸ‘©πŸ»πŸŒŸπŸ˜‡

I’d like to say a MASSIVE thank you to ALL the staff at Wishaw Maternity Unit for the outstanding experience myself, my wife and my daughter received. You are truly brilliant and deserve to be recognised for the excellent work you do! πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸŽ€πŸ‘ΆπŸΌπŸ’•
