"Hard working caring staff in difficult..."

About: Royal Lancaster Infirmary

What I liked

My mum was admitted to ward2 at RLI ,the care she received was excellent from the nursing staff and the doctors. She was treated with respect and kindness at all times even though it was always very busy,.

What could be improved

Unfortunately mum passed away on the ward and at various times before this happened we had conversations with the doctors about her prognosis and there were no suitable rooms for relatives to be told upsetting news about their loved ones. We were in the office and the phone was constantly ringing ,making it difficult for all involved.
