"very good A&E despite snow overload"

About: Basildon University Hospital / Accident and emergency

After finding my mother on the floor today and calling an ambulance, despite terrible snow they were there quickly. Mother got taken to Basildon A&E and was promptly seen, assessed and moved to major dept...

where she was treated with great kindness and by thorough Drs

She recieved tests, was put on a drip, catheter....

and found a bed on a ward.. which she duly went to...

All in all it was approx 8hours from arriving into Basildon.

In view of the high volume of patients, etc....... I thought this was very good.. My mother was not concerned about any of the procedures and the lovely staff ensured she was kept comfortable at all times..........

I know other people may have differnt opinions but i have nothing but praise for all the staff from admittance to moving to the ward.

We are always pleased when relatives take the time to write with their appreciation of the care and treatment their loved ones have received at Basildon Hospital, and were pleased to hear that your Mother's experience in the Emergency Department was a positive one.

Your comments have been shared with the senior team to ensure staff are made aware of your kind words.
