After finding my mother on the floor today and calling an ambulance, despite terrible snow they were there quickly. Mother got taken to Basildon A&E and was promptly seen, assessed and moved to major dept...
where she was treated with great kindness and by thorough Drs
She recieved tests, was put on a drip, catheter....
and found a bed on a ward.. which she duly went to...
All in all it was approx 8hours from arriving into Basildon.
In view of the high volume of patients, etc....... I thought this was very good.. My mother was not concerned about any of the procedures and the lovely staff ensured she was kept comfortable at all times..........
I know other people may have differnt opinions but i have nothing but praise for all the staff from admittance to moving to the ward.
"very good A&E despite snow overload"
