"Fracture Clinic - Outpatients"

About: Peterborough City Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

Please do not use me as a way of making up the hour late that you were running. I was unable to clearly explain what happened my full symptoms. My shoulder not working properly is extremely serious not only to my well being but that of my severely disabled husband. There was no screen in the room for you to properly discuss the x-ray that had been taken, I left having absolutely no confidence that I had been given the right diagnosis. I was not told whether a future Calcium crystal breakout was likely to incapacitate me again. I now have to go back to my GP and get that confidence and the follow up which I need for the wider symptoms I am suffering.

I am so sorry to hear about your experience and I am obviously concerned about the comments you have posted. We want to ensure all of our patients receive good quality care and I am disappointed that this is not what has happened in your case.

If you would like to discuss this in more detail please do contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service on 01733 673405. Once again my apologies that not all of your encounters have been positive.

Regards

Lesley Crosby
