I send the letter to NHS England to forward me the guidelines or rules and regulation in how GPs prescribe medicines.
Recently visited Portishead Medical group surgery with ongoing allergic rhinitis which bothers me daily. ( plus I'm asthmatic )
I was prescribed trial medication and told to use it for 1 month, however the amount of drugs prescribed was only sufficient for 2 weeks, subsequently I had to make a further appointment go back to the surgery and ask for a repeat prescription to finish my course.
Very inconvenient and costly!!!
Previously, I have always received a full course of medication, for ongoing or trial treatment, the prescriptions had always been sufficient for 1 month.
Been online: General practitioner committee and found out, that prescription should supply 28 days of drugs at least!
I feel that your surgery just simply milking me for money for NHS through prescriptions, without any consideration to the patient.
Thank you for your prompt reply and chance to resolve this matter in a positive way!
"UNHAPPY with unfair prescription supply"
