Very disappointed with the standard of care received here. My mother registered as a patient here and there were repeated problems. After having a knee replacement, she was found to be anaemic. This was not followed up. We rang to request a blood test as she was feeling very unwell. We were told by a doctor a blood form would be issued to collect. No blood form was issued and we were told that unless she had an asthma check that her request for a blood test would not be considered. This makes no sense and is unacceptable. The doctor here has showed a very poor standard of care and the receptionists are rude and unhelpful. It is very difficult to get anything done or for any requests to be fulfilled. I am in the process of making a written complaint.

Thank you for bringing to our attention the problems you have encountered and for contacting us by phone to discuss in greater detail.

As discussed, the doctors do not wish to hinder a patient's wellbeing and depending on the situation always ensure they fully understand the circumstances in which a request is being made.

As the initial request was unclear, and later determined to be related to an event over 6mths ago, the Dr's requested the patient to make an appointment with a doctor or nurse so that they may be reviewed before the tests could be issued.

Also, as the request was made by a third party and no consent was in the patient's notes we were unable to provide additional information directly to you.

With reference to the receptionists, we are continually reviewing and monitoring their interaction with patients and providing training as and when required.
