"Change of name AGAIN 2nd Review"

About: Millway Medical Practice

Well surprise surprise for the 3RD time now my visit to the GP has been a complete disaster!! 17th June around 12:30pm

After being advised to bring in my deed poll once again to change the name of my kids i was asked about why the mother (my wife) wasn't here with me and i argued that the deed poll only refers to me and my kids and not my wife. A photocopy was taken of my deed poll and was promised that it will change in due course (last visit it was changed on the spot without my deed poll) i raised the question about why a photocopy was taken when the reception supervisor on last visit said that they are not allowed to take a photocopy when they did on my first visit (mislaid by staff) the reception staff said she has just spoken with the reception supervisor (in the back room) and said its ok to the a photocopy which really contradicts what they said before. This what i mean on the last review that make up rules as they go along!

I brought the birth certificate of my 2 week old baby as i've registered the baby today and because the she is registered under my wife's surname (we don't have same surnames) i asked for the surname to be changed and i was asked again "where is the mother?" i advised she is at home recuperating from her c-section and said that on my last visit i was not asked to bring her with me as the reception supervisor said just to bring in the birth certificate as soon as she's registered. This has only fueled me more and i left in disgust.

My visit today was to sort this out and also pick my prescription for my asthma inhaler and guess what? Because I left in disgust i forgot to pick up my prescription.

Everyone has their own set of rules in that reception desk which leaves the service user frustrated. On my 2nd visit i asked to speak to the practice manager and the reception supervisor refused me that and said i can only speak to them because they have all the answers.
