Initially I didn't want to waste the time of the hospital staff as I understand they are very busy, however , Sunday mid day my son (19) had all the symptoms of glandular fever . He could hardly breathe . I reluctantly decided to take him to A&E he was already on antibiotics from out doctor . But his symptoms were getting worse each day .
Within a hour he was seen by a nurse, who referred him to the ENT dept,
A very lovely, caring and professional young woman recognised he needed immediate help, he was on a ward within a hour who had him on a IV driip .
I cannot thank the quick action of this doctor and the staff. . My son couldn't talk, or hardly breathe .
his glands and tonsils we so swollen .
Amazing ! The A and E need more help the waiting room was packed but very calm .
