"Why won't my GP refer me?"

About: Allen Street Clinic

(as the patient),

I injured my back at work over 12 months ago went to the doctors gave me time off no pain killers and said come back if no improvement.

I went back told to go to yoga and swim, so I did.

Went back. Referred me to nhs physio, 6 weeks later GP said they can't do any more for me than advise me to do these exercises.

My back has been bad on and off for the last year I use a private physio - she is amazing.  2 weeks ago my back was the worst it's been my physio said go to the doctors and ask for a scan she was concerned because of how far down my pain was stemming from.

The GP totally snubbed my physio's request said they examined me and that I just need rest and no heavy lifting!

I am in pain all the time and can't even put my weight on my left leg. Why is the GP so dismissive???
