What I liked
being able to visit regularyl and for long periods
What could be improved
Better patient information more caring staff more privacy better quality care
Anything else?
My father had been diagnosed with oesophageal cancer his care was poor, he was not fully aware of his diagnosis he wanted surgery bit was refused due to his age when he was not a typical man of 79 years prior to his diagnosis he was a very fit healthy active man.He had to have a stent fitted, was left for up to 72 hours with no iv infusion for fluids he wasnt fed for days , he underwnt at least 7 procedures to have stents fitted , and then had to be fitted with a peg twice he had a very traumatic last few months of life, he wasnt cared for at all , as a retirednurse myself I was thoroughly ashamed and appauled at the way my Father was treated.
"Very sad, and disappointed at the lack..."
