"Day Care elbow surgery"

I had operation on smashed elbow and was very nervous about it as ive never had an operation before. I was seen within 10 minutes of arrival by a lovley nurse who immediately put me at ease and explained the whole procedure and what would be happening. Every member of staff I encountered-from the consultant to the recovery team were fantastic and answered any query or concern I had. The after care was also brilliant, there was always at least one person with me and when I was took back up to day surgery clinic there was staff on hand to to help with my needs. The staff nurse especially was great, taking the time to explain what my op had involved and making sure i had all the info I needed. He also arranged a wheelchair to take me down to reception when I was discharged. I always felt aware of what was happening and what was going to happen and I was so impressed with the efficiency and care of all the staff. They made a daunting experience so much more positive for me and I am very grateful.
