"Last six months"

About: Trafalgar Medical Group Practice

Impossible to get an appointment on the day even when it is an emergency.

When you phone you have to hold on for an extremely long time.

Professionalism of staff answering is not consistent - probably because they are so busy. I have numerous health issues some of which have not been diagnosed as I have been told that they are symptoms of ME which I have had for a long time, have researched thoroughly and these symptoms are not those of current research on ME.

Last phone call to doctor, as I was in acute pain and unable to visit the surgery was rushed, the doctor was extremely impatient, obviously had not read any of my notes (I guess there is a summary on the screen).

He denied that a previous letter from a Consultant had suggested an appointment with Rheumatology despite my having a copy of the letter in front of me to which I referred him.

He became angry and unpleasant.

He then explained the dosage procedure of the new medication I had been given.

Somewhat complex, very rushed and impatient.

When I attempted to read back/verify the dosage plan he told me to "Be quiet.

Listen. I'm trying to tell you"

As my health has left me feeling extremely vulnerable and in need of support this was extremely upsetting.

My overall feeling/belief is that unless I can keep on top of what is happening - results from Cardiology/Oncology/Gynaecology/dermatology and Physiotherapy no one else will.

I now insist when I visit Specialists that I receive a hard copy of the letter sent to my doctor as this is the only way to ensure that I get the recommended treatment.

My neighbour in the same post code gets texted updates of flu vaccinations, pneumonia and shingles.

She gets called in six monthly checks etc.

I have never received any such communication although I am the same age.

Very scary.

I don't feel as though I am being looked after/cared for.
