I was on my way to work on Wednesday 28th February when I slipped on the snow and ice and badly fractured and dislocated my left wrist. The immediate care, treatment and compassion I received from all the staff in Accident and Emergency was second to none.
After waiting several hours I was admitted to Neustadt Welton Ward where I again cannot fault the care I received from the nurses, healthcare’s and the housekeepers with their cheery disposition making me feel less anxious about having to go to theatre and have a GA something I’ve never had to experience before. I had my own room and bathroom which was spotlessly clean.
The Anaesthetist ( apologies forgotten your name) and all the theatre staff for putting me at ease, thank you.
Finally a massive thank you to the surgeon for putting me back together, as I understand it was a very complicated fracture.
Thank you to all at LCH for the dedication and care I received.
