What I liked

some staff ,brilliant.couldnt do enough for my husband food portions could be a lot warmer and larger ,the tea and coffee was "stewed"!and cold my husbands consultant has been blinding!! what a lovley man and a top surgeon health care assistants were lovley easy to talk to and very helpful

What could be improved

One nurse's care was of a couldnt care less attitude!! never a smile,it obvious to me and my husband that his medical conditions were never recognised and notes were never read. being a high risk stroke patient for the past two yrs meant nothing to this woman and having had extensive surgery on his leg for the past two yrs a little more compasion wouldnt have gone amiss! the acting consultant when my husband was was admitted was ok but told my husband not to put weight on the broken leg, the next day the phiseo staff told him to put partial weight on it ?? who does he believe ?god only knows discharge day was a nightmare having arrived by ambulance ,and filling the criteria of the PCT to be taken to hospital he assumed he would go home via the same transport only to be told "make your own way home"get a bus and use your pass!! this meant doing it on his own in the rain leg extension on wheelchair, he needed to be double jointed to manouver the bus entrance ,and to top it all he couldnt get on the bus ! NHS the caring proffesion ???? Never !! and now my husband has to go back there for further treatment , god forbid if he has to go back to this ward !!
