"Well Planned Surgery and Faultless Care"

I attended Whiston Hospital for complex breast surgery following chemotherapy for breast cancer and was in hospital for 5 days.

Although my surgery was a protracted 10 hour procedure, the whole surgical and recovery process was exceptionally well thought out and designed to maximise success and reduce the risk of post-operative issues.

The Consultant is a reconstructive genius, supported by a very competent team that includes excellent surgeons and an amazing anaesthetist, really great physiotherapists and knowledgeable breast nurses. Ward 3A was busy but spotless and efficiently run by a well bonded team who demonstrated care and compassion no matter what.

I was particularly impressed by the depth of knowledge of the Diep nurses who cared for me.

Catering and cleaning teams were excellent and very friendly. Follow up appointments have been well organised and thorough. Cannot fault my experience.
