(as a service user),

Helped me (and still do) be aware of the dangers of alcohol abuse.

I have an addictive nature. Half a pint now and then would never be enough.

Half a pint and I would be back on a bottle of whiskey per day.

One is too many. A hundred not enough. Inclusion helps me to remember this and avoid alcohol completely.

Tea total now for a year and I feel 100% better.

The first thing I can do is congratulate you. This is an amazing achievement of which I hope you are really proud. The recovery goes on and on and that is amazing. I really hope you are using all of this knowledge you have gained along the way. I'm sure you have had the discussion already but one option is for you to use this experience and support others. There are options for you out there! Keep going keep getting the support you need whether that is with us or elsewhere. 1 year will turn into 2 and so on and so on.
