"Care was amazing"

What I liked

I am admitted regularly and think that the bad reviews for this hospital are really not needed. I visited ward 8 as usual and the staff on there were amazing. I could not fault any one of them, they put me at ease and looked after me so well- I would trust my life with them. I also had a short stay in ITU this time and the staff both there and A+E were amazing, they comforted me and gave me the right treatment to get me on the mend.

What could be improved

I was moved from ITU to AMU which I felt was ridiculous, I was aware that there was lack of beds however going from such an acute area to not being seen for nearly 24 hours and only being dealt with by a student nurse was not right at all. Also I was discharged the day after ITU only to not even leave the hospital before being readmitted due to me not being well enough (I was in for a further week after this)

Anything else?

Although there was a small blip regarding beds and discharges I cannot fault the care from A+E to ITU and then to ward 8... they deserve a huge amount of credit for the work they do every day!
