(as the patient),

I was only asked once if I wanted to try breast feeding I tried straight after he was born and he didn't take to it is was not asked again so I decided to just try bottle feeding as I wanted to get home and was not allowed to leave unless he was feeding.

Please accept my apologies that you did not receive the support and advice you needed with breastfeeding following the birth of your baby.

We are committed to providing a high standard of care to all women and are at present working towards Baby Friendly Status. This involves a coordinated approach towards all aspects of infant feeding and includes comprehensive training for all staff so they are able to give clear, consistent advice and information to all mothers and their families regarding their chosen method of feeding.
