My 83 year old mum was admitted to Ward A5 via A&E on Friday evening 23rd Feb.
She had sustained a fractured hip on the previous Tuesday and seen her GP on that day but unfortunately was not sent her for x-ray diagnosing a bruised muscle.
After 3 days in a great deal of pain she attended Halton Hospital who x-rayed and diagnosed the fracture, she was sent to Warrington in an ambulance.
The Consultant explained thoroughly the procedure he was doing (pinned the bone), the theatre staff on Saturday morning were extremely kind, considerate, informative and put her at ease.
All the A5 Ward staff were exceptional in her care.
She has been discharged with the Early Discharge Team of Physios and OTs who are amazing and have encouraged, supported and helped her to go home early which is great for her.
We cannot thank Ward A5 and the supporting staff enough for her care. You are all wonderful.
Thank you.
