My dear wife for 52 years passed away on 30th January from peritoneal metastatic cancer.
From diagnosis to her death was about 21/2 years and was a long hard battle for her. There was extensive surgery followed by chemo- therapy when the cancer returned and finally hormone therapy. At the last clinic, it was obvious that the end was near and the Consultant arranged an immediate admission to a hospice. Pamela died after just one week in the hospice.
Throughout Pam's treatment we were treated with efficiency but also with courtesy and compassion. Our family wish to express our appreciation of Pam's treatment throughout the time of her illness. In particular we draw your attention to Eden Ward, Sunrise Centre and the Hilltop Centre for Chemo-therapy. The staff were in all instances, outstanding both in the attitude to two elderly old fogies and the careful and systematic way treatment was carried out. Punctuality was excellent also.
Congratulations and well done
Douglas Smith and all the family
"Great service"
