"Phlebotomy service"

About: Mere Lane Group Practice

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I attended Mere Lane to have a blood test & the nurse seemed to treat patients quite abruptly.  There were older patients waiting to be seen who possibly had hearing impairments & rather than leave the room to shout the patients, the nurse shouted their number twice from the room & then came out to shout it a third time saying to the patient "this is the third time I've shouted you y'know" in quite an abrupt way leaving the patients to apologise when they didn't need to.

When I went into for my bloods, the nurse was chatting away to another nurse without looking at me, complaining about something.  I only knew what to do as I've been before so I sat on the chair & waited for them whilst they were chatting & my presence wasn't acknowledged until they'd finished.

Once they did my bloods, the nurse was quite friendly & chatty but the way they were before this didn't feel quite right.
