About: Leen View Surgery

I have tried over a week to make an appointment . Some days I can’t even get through to receptionist, I was number 20 for an hour last week. When I got through I asked for appointment but only emergency ones available. No luck for another day, surely emergencies are for A&E. I have had severe ear pain for nearly 2 weeks and find it hard to hear properly. How much longer do you have to be in pain for before maybe an infection sets in and does damage, i even went to boots for ear meds but all they offered was wax clearing drops. My ear is swollen inside the sides feel like they are touching together, this practise has got worse in the last year.today I was told all appointments were gone for today so call in the morning, I tried all day to get through and this was the result, I can go in and sit and wait at 08.00... I work so that’s not manageable. I try told the receptionist that I will try to get through tomorrow but no doubt be told ‘no appointments left’. How many times do they say that before you see a dr, this is so unprofessional . My ear problem is unbearable but I shall have to just wait in pain for probably another week.

Emergencies should go to QMC so Drs can see those with ailments.

We are sorry to hear that you were not happy with the service at Leen View Surgery. Please contact the surgery and ask to speak to the Practice Manager who will discuss this complaint further. There are other ways of contacting the surgery and making an appointment so maybe we could help you with this. We are very busy and do try to provide care for all our patients, we are considering changing our appointment system in the near future and we would appreciate any suggestions you may have. Our Patient Participation Group is meeting in May and you are more than welcome to attend to put your ideas across.

Regards

Debra Juett
