"Health annual check aftermath"

About: Garstang Medical Practice

I have been fortunate to not need help medically, for many years.A blood pressure check showed a reading, which the blood nurse said, meant I must not leave the health-centre without seeing a doctor. This was duely arranged and the doc said they would prescribe a calcium blocker and I got the prescription from the dispensary.Due to the amalgamation of the practices I could not book the recheck for the end of the month because of some computer upgrade. When I rang about three weeks later the receptionist said I still could not.About a week later I decided to physically turn up at reception to get a repeat prescription which ,when I got it required a blood-pressure appointment to be made.I go back to reception and get an appointment for the next week. When I turn up at "red reception"(where I have called as a Landscape surgery patient),I am told to go to "blue reception" where the receptionist wants my details again!.I know everyone in the health centre must be frustrated by this transition chaos but this sort of thing could make one ill.The blood-nurse shouts across the room cos they can't log on to the system so the wall hailing system doesn't work. When The blood-nurse could not enter the bp check results. They could in the morning, apparently.
