"Not good so far !"

About: Sunderland Royal Hospital

What I liked

My radiology appointment was spot on time - but see below for the results !

What could be improved

I was told by the radiographer that a report would be sent to the consultant and he would write to my GP - and that I should contact the GP in 3 weeks for the outcome.

Over 3 weeks has now gone by and upon ringing my doctor - no report has been received and upon ringing the hospital I have been told that the radiographers report hasn't even been done yet - let alone been passed to the consultant for his diagnosis.

I had thought that there nustn't be much wrong as I haven't heard anything by now - but now I hear that the report hasn't event been done by radiography - that is my theory blown out of the water.

I have been told that the report will be put onto the urgent list to be done and passed to the consultant - but this shouldn't really be necessary as surely 3 weeks is enough time for them to deal with it without being prompted.

So goodness knows now how long it takes to get from the "urgent" list in radiology to my GP
