I visited the Cardiology outpatients department on the 5th December 2017 for an echocardiogram . This was arranged by my GP which should have been alongside a 24 hour heart tape. Unfortunately the email was not read properly and only the echo arranged. After many phone calls I did eventually have the tape done in January , these were to help my doctor decide on a treatment for palpitations .
Today is the 26th of February and up to today my results for the echo on the 5th of December have not been received by my doctor, although my 24 hour tape ones came back very quickly. I am at a loss to know how this can take so long ! , my doctor has emailed the department and I have rung them an all you get is they are behind, really this is not acceptable we are talking about a heart problem which should be classed as important. If it is not received in the next few weeks I have to take time off work to go and have it done again , once again not acceptable! .
I chose to go to Edgware and now I wish I hadn't, there really is no excuse whatsoever and I really hope I don't have to come to your hospital again as it is not trustworthy !
The Cardiology department was not on your list of department to select
