"Appointment flexibility"

About: Salford Royal

(as the patient),

This is the second time I have felt MAJOR disappointment through my phone calls with the outpatients staff at salford royal. The first time I rang to rearrange an appointment as I am a student and therefore don’t get told in advance when my exams are, which then meant I couldn’t attend my appointment. My mother then advised she would have liked to attend my new set appointment with me, so when I rang to change this I was told very rudely and bluntly ‘you can’t do this or you’ll be discharged". Without no room to really explain how it's quite difficult for me to arrange appointments due to my student status.

The member of staff made me feel stupid for not knowing this information. I dread ringing this line in the future as staff sound like they don’t want to speak to you and would rather be elsewhere. Please note I never usually review any of my nhs experiences but felt I had to on this occasion due the appalling manner I was spoken to in.
