"My visit to Lincoln hospital"

About: East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust / Emergency ambulance Lincoln County Hospital / Accident and emergency Lincoln County Hospital / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

Ambulance staff were fantastic, very caring and looked after me all the way to hospital, a and e dept were also very caring. Staff on Branston ward also very helpful and caring except one nurse who was not at all friendly or caring. I went very dizzy and nauseous after having my cannula removed and they just walked off and left me... luckily I didn't faint but I dread to think if I had what could have happened. I would never want to be looked after by this nurse again.

Apart from that one nurse I would like to say the rest of the staff in all departments treated me with respect and understanding.

Dear H18,

Thank you for leaving us feedback for Branston Ward. I would like to apologise on behalf of the nurse who did not provide you with compassionate care.

I am pleased the rest of the team treated you with respect and dignity and I will be discussing with the ward team the concern you raised

If you would like to talk to me personally about your experience please ring the ward and I would be happy to discuss this.

Kind regards

Karen Bird

Update posted by H18 (the patient)

Thank you for your quick reply and understanding of my situation, I have since sending my comments remembered that the same nurse took my blood pressure twice within a matter of minutes and it was so tight that my arm turned blue and I went very dizzy, she showed no real understanding regarding this either and I was thankful that my daughter was with me to look after me. I will point out that I had my blood pressure taken in a and e and with the paramedics and did not have the same situation happen,
