I have given 3 very positive reviews of WH hospital in recent months but the experience with my mother at the AMD clinic today was poor.
It all started so well.
My mother was first seen bang on time at 10.40 for an eye test, drops to be put in and a scan.
There was then a very long wait for the scan to be reviewed after which we were asked at just before 12.30 to go to Waiting Area B for the injection. On arrival at Waiting Area B, we were told to our astonishment that the morning clinic was closed.
It seemed to be irrelevant that patients in the morning clinic had not been treated.
We were left with the impression that the injection crew were enjoying their Sunday roast while we were left with the paltry offering at Costa Coffee.
Having arrived at about 10.35 for Mum's 10.40 appointment, we finally left after 2 pm with no apology for the delay or any recognition that the clinic was at fault.
"Not our best visit to WH"
