To whom it may concern
I attended the emergency department on Saturday night the 24th February at about 9.40 for help with a broken front tooth - avoid flapjack!
I was walking (and driving) wounded, not in particular pain or distress, but needing advice and assistance because I was concerned that I might swallow the loose part of the broken tooth and didn't know what best to do about it
I don't have names of individuals, I was looked after by the emergency room staff on duty between about 9.40 and 10.30 that night.
My details were taken promptly at the receptoion counter and a nurse followed up very quickly to decide how the issue should be handled & by whom.
The doctor then saw me much sooner than I had expected and after going through my (rather complex) current medication status and taking some advice from a colleague dealt with the issue, removed the broken tooth crown and sent me on my way by about 10.30.
I would like to say thank you to all involved for their expertise, help and kindness.
Apart from the immediate medical help I was given all the advice and information I needed about handling the current issues over the weekend and getting to my dentist ASAP next week.
five stars for every aspect as far as I was concerned
Ian James
