"Short visit to A&E"

Unfortunately I had to visit A&E at whitechapel at 2am this morning do to blood leaking out of a wound from my previous operation (which was no fault of anyone at the hospital) just my own stupid fault in trying to do things to quickly the glue had come off the wound and losing blood.

I have to say, although you hear about it on the news to much on my arrival I was shocked to see how many people there were there, most of them drunk and with minor injuries.

I felt so sorry for the staff, they was they were being shouted at and abused by members of the public, but none-the-less acted in a caring and professional way. How they do this job day in and day out I will never know.

From my own experience, I was treated very professionally and caringly and supported by the staff - especially by the head doctor and by the nurse who treated my wounds.

My admiration goes out to all those staff there that work so hard and yet are spoken to in a very aggressive way by some of the patients. I think we need to remember that this is a free service and although the staff get paid they are dedicated to what they do. My respect to all the A&E staff at London hospital and I really hope they get feedback from this review.

Thank you so much for your kindness and support throughout my stay. Although the department was packed I was in and out well within the 4 hour guidelines.
