Starting experiencing pain in my inner right ear a night ago so i decided to to go into the urgent care centre. Now i know the sort of wait times to expect in places like this so 2 hours wasn't really a problem for me.
When i eventually got seen, the man attempting to diagnose me ran through questions about my pain, most of which i answered no to as they didnt described my symptons aside from telling me i experienced pain in that area when swallowing or spitting. His conclusion was that he didnt know what was wrong with me and that i should book an appointment with a GP or take some pain relief tablets.
Great advice! Wouldn't be coming into an 'urgent care centre' on a Saturday morning if i thought it could wait til Monday! Don't see why he couldn't refer me to someone more experienced in the matter but left feeling extremely annoyed that i'd wasted my time and that i'll likely only get the same answer from my GP.
