"Glass in my foot"

About: Weymouth Community Hospital

A couple of weeks ago I trod on broken glass & I thought I’d got it all out but I hadn’t . Petrified of needles & cant stomach blood or cuts . Family made me go to get the glass out . The receptionist & the triage nurse were both friendly . When I was taken through the nurse/doctor I got was absolutely amazing she understood I was freaking out & she was brilliant. She kept me informed of what she was doing , she was calming & funny & most importantly she wasn’t short with me for crying & freaking . . Unfortunately she couldn’t get it all on the first trip so she put drawing stuff on & I had to go back & see her again 3 days later . Again I was a wreck & unfortunately the drawing cream didn’t work so had to have the same done as the Wednesday ( which was my worse fear) but again nurse/doctor was calming , funny & friendly. I avoid visiting hospitals & doctor surgery’s but this was a brilliant service for something horrible. Thank you
