"thank you"

About: Circle-Nottingham NHS Treatment Centre

I attended the Circle for an endoscopy and colonoscopy and was obviously nervous both of the procedure and the results.

I was attended to promptly and with friendliness (but it was not over friendly which would have been too much).

My concerns were answered and I was given every opportunity to ask questions.

I was able to make a decision on the method of pain killers after asking questions and was not hurried in this.

In the theatre the procedure was explained to me again and I was given tips on how to cope with it.

What was nice was a nurse who put her hand on my shoulder when the endoscopy camera was put in my throat which was uncomfortable and this reassured me tremendously.

I thanked her for this as I am sure others would value this.

The staff in the recovery room were very nice and attentive and someone got me a blanket as I was cold.

It was good to see the nurses wiping down the trolley beds once someone had left the recovery area.

The whole system seemed very well organised.
