"Care of my late father"

About: Welbeck Surgery

My father died Feb 2018, aged 97.He had been a patient at this surgery since 1960. About 10 years ago the doctors here changed. From this time I was very involved in my father’s care. I was always able to get appointments and we were listened to. About 3 years ago my father had to go into a care home. I was very pleased to know he would stay with the same doctor. She knew him well and treated him with respect and sensitivity. She went out to the home many times to see him. When it became clear that he needed end of life care she contacted me to make sure I understood how things were. Following his death I was able to speak to her directly on two occasions. The reception/ administrative staff were very helpful and approachable. I know the care home staff have found the doctor to be supportive. A most professional approach, with the personal touch we used to have when GPS had more time to give!

I would highly recommend the senior partner at this practice
