Some of the staff were very friendly however some were the opposite which would create a tense atmosphere, whenever an issue arose and discussions started we were told that we couldn't talk about 'inappropriate subjects', when expressing our thoughts and feelingd, and no more thought was put towards the issues.
When clearly upset or struggling many of the staff would turn a blind eye or expect you to seek them out; where there would often be busy.
Selfharm was very common at the ward and when questioned on it no action would be taken to remove the risk item.
The ward didnt aid my mental health as it offers no therapy and very little actual help or support given unless you activley try and end your life there, which is far simpler than it should be.
Also i believe that the way in which care is discussed and provided could be greatly improved as parents and patients don't have much say on that topic, in addition to CPA's involving irrelevant workers/staff, who I had never met, talked to, so they therefore cannot correctly assess you.
This was of course only my experience and there and its probably different for each patient however i was sadly disappointed, although some of the staff are very comforting and the facilities are mostly good.
"Unfortunately not very likely to recommend"
