Reading through the reviews my complaint is identical to another posted last year.
I have been waiting for an appointment since October last year.
I was told by admin when I tried to chase up the appointment that my notes were being assessed and that "Pain Management will now contact you directly via post with further correspondence as to what happens next regards to your appointment".
My pain has been unbearable even with the high doses of medication.
I see my GP regularly and she sent another letter in January to chase up my appointment and to tell them how much pain I was in.
I have been in tears with the pain and confined to the house.
I can't sit down or stand up for any length of time.
I contacted Walton hospital today just to see if they can give me any idea of how long I would be waiting.
I was eventually told by an abrupt person that my referral had been closed.
I said I didn't understand as I had been referred to the Chronic Pain Team, I hadn't received any correspondence, neither had my GP, and the pain remains chronic.
She just told me to ring my GP as she should have referred me to "local services".
How can my GP refer me when she nor I have no correspondence???
I am so upset as I am no nearer to getting any help.
Is it any wonder that there are more and more people with mental health problems? I will be in that group very shortly as I already take antidepressants due to my chronic back pain and I'm getting nowhere with any treatment.
I will be contacting my MP if I don't get any satisfaction soon.
This review requests a reply to "when did you visit this hospital" and "which department did you visit"..... well that is the whole problem!!!!! I will put down a date and department randomly to post this review.
"Waiting for an appointment"
