"I didn't feel safe"

About: Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust

(as the patient),

In my opinion there was no where near enough staff. There were other patients chucking cups and screaming and not enough staff to help these people properly whilst keeping other patients like myself safe and occupied. I've been in this hospital before and cannot believe how different it is now...i didn't feel safe and kept looking at the people who could blow up like a bottle of pop and then looking what staff they had and thought if i get started on ive got no chance.

I found it very difficult to speak to a qualified nurse about medication and get any sort of talking therapy going on, which I feel is not their fault when they are busy doing other stuff and you can see them doing it and when theres only one of them and twenty of you it can't be helped, the support staff are very nice but have limitations in what they can tell you.

The support between leaving hospital and home is very, very good to how i've experienced it in the past and a massive plus point, but this is no good if the ward continues to have no resources as i believed it to be when i was there.
