Having completed the online consultation which is time consuming I received an email 2days later requesting me to make an appointment. I have spent most of today trying to get through on the telephone unsuccessfully. I am confident the same will happen tomorrow.
Therefore the only way to get an appointment is to complete an online consultation, wait 2 days for a reply and then find the time to go to the surgery to make an appointment.
I cannot help but feel that this system is set up to deter patients from seeing their GP.
